PLACES TO VISIT:

The village of Belmonte Piceno is small, full of character and ideally located to explore the local area.  If you want to have a 'retreat' away from the usual tourist trail - stay in Belmonte and simply do daytrips to the popular tourist destinations.

Within walking distance of the Palace you have a coffee shop/bar, parks, and tennis courts.  A Post Office and small supermarket are located in the Belmonte Piazza, with an Organic Bakery located in the next street. A public swimming pool is located in the next village of 'Santa Vittoria', or more appealing is the beachside villages less than 30 minutes drive from the house offering all facilities including excellent restaurants, weekly street markets, beachside bars, sailing and beach games.

'Servigliano' is merely 5 minutes drive from the Palace, where you will find an excellent bar called 'Bar Dello Sport’ in the central picturesque Piazza. It is also the location of many festivals and Ceremonies with the Church being the centre of the village.  During the month of August there is a historic festival every evening in the Piazza with lavish traditional costumes and plenty of atmosphere. Restaurants in this area are excellent quality, very reasonably priced, and most often homemade wine/olive oil, and fresh ingredients from the owners’ home kitchen garden.

'Maccerata' Opera is a 'must see' during the summer months (30 minute drive), Civitannova Marche is a delightful seaside town that comes alive during the summer (30 minutes drive), and for some fresh mountain air with walking and bike tracks you are only 30 minutes drive from the breathtaking Sibillini National Park.

'Fermo' is our areas main town of importance with museums, grand Churches, beautiful parks, weekly antique markets, good restaurants and brimming with character and only 20-minute drive.  It has regular Festivals and is always fun to visit.

'Ascoli Piceno' is located 40 minutes drive away (beautiful drive through mountains and forest roads), is also a main town offering picturesque Piazza's, antique markets, plenty of shopping and restaurants.  This is more touristy, but very beautiful.
